Sooke Elementary Schools Receive Rotary Donation

  The Rotary Club of Sooke donated $1,400 to our Sooke elementary schools, which will go a long way in helping support literacy! Spencer Middle School Garden

Spencer Middle School wishes to extend their gratitude to Meadow Oak Nursery in North Saanich and Rona Westshore for their generous donations of native plants, soil and tools. Bring Back Our Girls

When 300 school girls were kidnapped in Nigeria the students at Spencer Middle School voiced their disappointment and outrage. Mrs. Nixon’s English grade 8 students used their voice to write letters to MP’s, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Honourable John Baird, urging them to take action. Trades Pay

    On May 13th, Sooke School Board Chair, Wendy Hobbs, presented recent Belmont graduates and carpentry apprentices Brennan Muscoby and Cory Zander two $1,000 Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) scholarship cheques. Belmont Secondary Marching Band Marches in 116th Victoria Day Parade

Belmont Leadership Class Fundraises for Zack Downey

Leadership students at Belmont Secondary are hosting a BBQ fundraiser for Zack Downey, a grade 12 community member who is living with a terminal cancer diagnosis. SD62 Student Wins Top Award At Provincial French Public Speaking Competition

Congratulations to Hannah Clarke from John Stubbs Memorial School who won the top award for the Canadian Parents for French BC & Yukon sponsored Concours d’art oratoire.
